Sam Learmonth - Solicitor

After graduating from the University of Auckland in 2006 with a Bachelor of Laws degree, Sam went on to work for the Ministry of Justice, before joining a boutique litigation firm in 2008 focusing on the areas of professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

Whilst at university, Sam worked as an editorial assistant for a legal publishing company and was Senior Editor of the Auckland University Law Review.

Sam became interested in a career in law because of his interest in English (which led him to the completion of a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Politics and Economics before turning to law) and debating during his school days.  He enjoys resolving problems that arise during the course of litigation.

In his spare time, Sam enjoys keeping fit, cooking and entertaining for his friends and family, reading, photography, watching movies and going to the theatre, and travelling when he can.  He is a volunteer with Victim Support and is also involved with the Auckland District Law Society.
