Tanya Spinka - Solicitor

Tanya started her legal career as a junior barrister at one of Auckland's well known barristers' chambers where she gained invaluable experience working with some of New Zealand's leading barristers on a wide range of civil and commercial litigation. 

After three years as a junior barrister, Tanya then spent a year at a boutique litigation firm in Auckland before leaving for her "OE" where she travelled around the world working on super-yachts.  After three years of chasing the sun around the Mediterranean and the Caribbean Tanya returned to Auckland to take up the opportunity to pursue a long held interest in journalism.  Tanya worked in the news and current affairs department at Television New Zealand for three years, first as a researcher, then as a field producer and finally as a reporter.  Working on TVNZ's iconic consumer affairs programme "Fair Go" refuelled Tanya's passion for the law and prompted her return to her legal career. 

In her spare time, Tanya enjoys socialising with friends over a good meal and bottle of wine, taking in a film festival film or spending a day at the beach.
