Rachel Moses - Solicitor
Rachel graduated from the University of Auckland in 1993 with a BA, LLB (Hons) degree.
She started her career that year in commercial litigation at one of New Zealand's largest law firms. Over six years there she gained wide Court experience in the District and High Courts and appeared in the Court of Appeal on a number of occasions. Subsequently she practiced as a barrister for five years, again engaged on a wide variety of commercial matters. About 6 years ago Rachel discovered insurance litigation, a natural progression from commercial litigation. She has practiced at other insurance law firms prior to joining Jones Fee.
In her insurance practice Rachel advises insurers on many topics including:
* Construction and leaky building disputes
* Professional indemnity for a wide variety of insureds
Rachel appears regularly in Court, the Weathertight Homes Tribunal and at mediations.
Outside work, Rachel's interests include spending time with her husband and three young boys, travelling and fitness. She is to grade for her karate black belt later in 2011.
